Description

We have come to find out that quite a few 6.7 trucks have a bolt in the factory grid heater that will become loose and fall into the intake. When this happens, it will find its way to the back of the valves and eventually into the cylinder and take out a piston.

Glacier Diesel offers a factory grid delete, higher flowing intake horn and a high flow grid heater to be relocated to the end of the high flow intake manifold.

We have put all three into a nice little package.

GDP Mega-Flo TVM Grid Heater

Note:Not for use on 2019+ trucks

The first and only intake manifold mounted grid heater that meets the Cummins spec for heating element support, amp draw, and temperature rise. The Mega-Flo TVM grid heater is CNC machined and directly bolts to the end of our MFS-2 intake manifolds.

Trucks that run in warmer climates, whether stock or highly modified, have the option of running the GDP Air-Boss 67 elevated intake plenum. But, what about a truck that operates in cooler climates and MUST have a grid heater to aid in cold weather starting?

By installing the Mega-Flo TVM Grid Heater, along with an intake plenum such as the Air-Boss 67, the grid heater is moved to a pre-plenum inlet position and out of the turning radius into the head. This allows massive airflow improvement without cold weather hard starts and none of the possible random codes associated with a simple grid heater delete.

From stock to 700+ hp ground pounders, if you run in cold weather the Mega-Flo TVM Grid Heater will get the fires lit! For the ultimate in performance combine the Mega-Flo Grid Heater with the Air-Boss 67.

Mega-Flo Throttle Valve Mounted Grid Heater Tech:

  • Precision CNC machined Grid Heater housing.
  • Simple, direct bolt-in installation using factory hardware.
  • Works with ALL aftermarket I/C pipes (boost tubes).
  • Supplied grid heater is perfectly matched for amp draw producing full heat output while being 100% code free.
  • Uses the stock factory power wire with no ground wire needed.
  • Supplied with new factory gasket.

If you truck has suffered the killer grid heater bolt failure the combination of our MFS-2 intake manifold, Air Boss grid delete, and TVM grid heater is the way to protect that expensive rebuild. Don’t put a stock heater back in and gamble on having another failure.

‘07.5-’18 Mega-Flo S-2 6.7L Cummins Intake Manifold

For race applications only

With the introduction of the Mega-Flo S-2 flanged intake manifold you can now have a high flow manifold and grid heater all in one package. The flanged design of the S-2 manifold allows installation of the GDP Mega-Flo TVM Grid Heater. When combined with our Air-Boss Grid Delete you have the ultimate high flow air package for the 6.7L Cummins.

The Mega-Flo 6.7L intake manifold is a precision, permanent mold, aluminum casting. Casting via permanent mold and heat treating gives the Mega-Flo S-2 superior material density for final machining. The permanent mold process offers a precision part with a great finish for colored powdercoat.

To lower restriction even further we have gone to a 5 bolt mounting design. This design eliminates the pass thru boss needed for the 6th bolt and allows us to open the cross sectional area even further. Some 5 bolt manifold designs allow “gasket creep” which causes long term gasket failure due to thermal cycling. To eliminate this, we leave a gasket retainer boss for the 6th bolt location during final machining. This boss captures the gasket and eliminates gasket creep.

For accessories such as boost gauges, water/meth or nitrous the Mega-Flo S-2 is ready. On the back we have added five 1/8″ NPT ports which will cover all of your additions with room to grow down the road.

All Mega-Flo S-2 6.7L intake manifolds include mounting bolts, gaskets, plugs, and full color instruction manual.

Note 1: For race applications only

Note 2: Only compatible with Fleece or ATS twin CP-3 kits at this time.

Note 3: Not for use with twin alternators.

‘07.5-’12 Dodge Ram 6.7L GDP Air-Boss 67 Grid Delete (Pickup)

EGT’s running too high? Can’t use all of the fuel you have available? The 6.7L Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete gives the largest flow increase possible short of milling the cast plenum off of the head and going to a fabricated intake such as the ZZ Fab or Hellman unit.

The Air-Boss 67 is not just a replacement flat plate. The Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete is a billet aluminum, internally elevated plenum cover designed to flow as much air as possible to cylinders 4, 5, and 6. With careful machining we were able to gain a full .220″ of internal height while still allowing the use of the factory mounting hardware.

Air-Boss 67 elevated intake plenums are compatible with all stock style intake manifolds and the increased airflow provided greatly reduces EGT’s.

Kit includes: Air-Boss 67 intake plate, factory gaskets, fuel rail stand-offs, and intake temperature sensor sealing ring.
